We didn't add privacy as a feature after the fact. The entire architecture of Saol.ai was designed around one constraint: your personal identifying information can never reach an AI model — ours or anyone else's.

The rule that ties all three together: the Identity Server never communicates with any AI model. The Profile and Team servers feed AI systems only with anonymized data — personality scores, patterns, and roles. Your name and email are on a separate system entirely.

You Choose a Display Name. No Real Name Required.
When you create your Saol.ai account, we encourage you to pick an anonymous display name — something that isn't your real name. That display name is what appears throughout the system: on your profile, in team views, and in AI prompts.
If you want to use your real first name, that's your choice. But the system is designed to work completely without it — because we believe your personality insights should never be connected to your legal identity unless you decide to connect them.
How Saol.ai trains its own AI
We use aggregated, anonymized personality data to improve our own internal AI models — helping future profiles be more accurate and more useful. Here is exactly what that means:
Aggregated personality patterns (e.g., "Strategist types tend to score higher in analytical thinking") — anonymized, no individual data
User feedback on profile accuracy (thumbs up/down, corrections) — anonymized
State-level geographic patterns for aggregate research — no city, zip, or address

We Train Our Own AI — And We're Telling You Exactly How
Most companies that use your data to train AI models bury that disclosure in a 40-page terms of service. We're going to tell you directly: we use anonymized, aggregated data from Saol.ai to improve our own personality AI. No other company gets your data.
The goal is to make personality profiles more accurate for everyone over time. The constraint is absolute: no individual's identity is ever connected to any data that reaches an AI training pipeline.

Your personality data belongs to you. Saol.ai provides the system and the AI — but the results are yours to keep, print, or share as you see fit.

Your profile is private by default. You decide what's visible: to other users, to your team, or to no one. Toggle it anytime.
You Can Delete Everything
Request full account deletion and your data is removed — profile, chat history, team records, and account credentials. No retention games.
You Decide Team Display Names
Team owners can add first names. Any team member can request their display name be changed to a nickname. Last names are never required.
PII for Payments Only
Your name and email are used only for account management and payment processing. They live on an isolated server and never touch AI systems.
U.S. Data Only
All Saol.ai data is stored on U.S.-based servers. We do not transfer personal data internationally.

Is my AI chat private on Saol.ai?
Yes — in a meaningful way. Your AI chat sessions are built using anonymized personality data, not your name or identity. Your chat conversations are not used to train any AI model. They're stored securely and are accessible only to you.
Does Saol.ai share my data with ChatGPT or other AI companies?
No. Saol.ai anonymizes chat, unless you disclose your name, and analysis. We do not send your data to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other AI provider, including our own AI (we anonymize aggregate data for AI analysis). Your personality profile and chat sessions stay within Saol.ai's systems.
Can my employer see my personality profile?
Not unless you share it. Your profile is private by default. If you join a team workspace through your employer, family member, group memmber or other multi-person group, then team leaders can see your display name and persona type and overall scores (persona and sub-categories) — but profile descriptions or details are only available if you've made them visible visible, using our Share feature. Your personal account and profile details remain private, only scores are shared.
Does Saol.ai sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. Your data is used to deliver the Saol.ai service and — in anonymized, aggregated form — to improve our own AI models. That's it.
What is the most private way to use AI for personal chat?
Saol.ai is designed specifically for this. Your name and email never reach an AI model. Personal chat sessions are built on anonymized personality patterns. You can use an anonymous display name throughout (recommended). It's as close to private AI chat as currently exists — without compromising the personalization that makes it useful.
Does Saol.ai use my data to train AI?
We use anonymized, aggregated personality patterns to improve our internal AI models. This means the system learns, for example, that "Strategist types" tend to respond well to certain chat approaches, without ever knowing or storing that it was you. Your name, email, and individual responses are never part of AI training data.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your data is removed from our systems upon request. This includes your profile, chat history, team records, and personal account information. We do not retain your data after deletion. Although, any anonymized data that was previously used to train our AI may still remain in the AI memory or in our logs, but your personal identity would never be included with or in relation to the aggregated (summarized) data
Is a personality test safe from a privacy standpoint?
With Saol.ai, yes. Many personality platforms store your results linked to your name and email, run ads against them, or sell aggregated data. Saol.ai separates your identity from your personality data at the architectural level — they live on different servers and are never combined in AI interactions, unless you include them.
